Over the wire extrusion is employed where thin walled applications are required with tight tolerances on inner diameters

Wall thicknesses below 0.05 mm can be produced using this technology. The tubing is extruded on a wire with the OD of the wire creating the tube ID. A thin layer of polymer is deposited on the wire. The wire is removed after the extrusions process.
